Everyone is getting excited about tablet computers.  Apple has grabbed the lead with its iPad and now the other global consumer electronic brands are racing like mad to catch up and enter the market.

The tablet market will provide us with a rich source of business teaching material over the coming months and years.  Multinational bands fighting it out for market share.  There will be some great examples of pricing tactics and product extension strategies.  The underlying battle between Apple and Google (whose Android mobile operating system powers nearly all the competitors to the iPad) is another fascinating dynamic.
