For our flagship Business Teacher National Conference in 2011 will be held on Thursday 30 June 2011. There is a new venue this year - just across the road from our previous location.  We will be visiting the wonderful Welcomme Trust Conference Centre, on the Euston Road - a stunning venue, not to be missed.

Delegate prices have been held at 2008 and 2009 levels and we are once again offering our fantastic departmental deal for just £100 per delegate - quite simply the best value CPD for all business teachers available.

The aim of the conference is to provide business teachers and lecturers with an inspiring, enriching CPD experience.  After a long academic year, we prefer not to focus on exams, assessment and such things.  Instead, we focus just on real-life business.  What does it take to start a successful business?  How are the challenges of managing a fast-growing or complex business best overcome?  How important is leadership?  How can we use these insights to inspire our business students?

The 2011 conference programme already has the following confirmed speakers:

Sir Terry Leahy - CEO of Tesco plc and perhaps Britain’s most admired business person
Will King - Founder and CEO of King of Shaves - one of Britain’s most successful and innovative entrepreneurs
Kirsty Henshaw - inspirational young entrepreneur and founder of Worthershaw’s Freedom
British Library Conference Auditorium at St Pancras, Euston Road, London.  Registration and refreshments are available from 9.30 a.m. The programme runs from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., including a buffet lunch. We are also organising a business education resource exhibition which delegates may wish to browse before, during and after the conference.

Single Delegate rate £150 per person (+VAT)
Departmental Delegate rate £100 per person (+VAT): (three or more attendees from the same school/college at the Business (30 June) or Economics (29 June) National Teacher Conferences
PGCE/NQT Delegate Rate £50 per person (+VAT) - limited number of places available for PGCE/NQTs
