We’ll also have some guest speakers from Drayton Manor - a great case study to use for BTEC First. The course programme is outlined further below.

Graham Prior
9.30 – 10.30 Arrival and Registration
10.30 – 11.15 – Getting into Unit 1 – Enterprise in the Business World
The first session starts with a mega-bundle of activities and resources to support the delivery of this mandatory internally assessed core unit. We’ll provide ideas for assignment design, lesson starters and group activities to get students thinking about business start-ups and consider the influences of the business environment. Case studies, video clips and ready to use resources all provided.
11.15 – 11.45 – Unit 4: Insights into Customer Service at a Theme Park
The team at Drayton Manor will provide insights on how they provide effective customer service. Superb case study material to support the delivery of Unit 4, focused specifically on the key grading criteria and content
11.45 – 12.00 – Coffee and Refreshments
12.00-12.45 – BTEC CSI! (Customer Service Investigated)
Not only will we be showcasing engaging activities to deliver Unit 4, but will provide a Unit 4 assignment brief pack. This will include two variations of an assignment brief built around a visit to a theme park or airport. The pack will include pre-visit tasks, tasks that can be adapted and completed on the visit with a view to gathering vital information and evidence for this Unit and the assignment brief.
12.45-1.30 – Lunch
1.30 – 2.15 – Success at Unit 2 Finance
Graham Prior (one of our acclaimed TBBLE team and the man behind Making Finance Fun) will provide a wealth of ideas and resources to deliver this externally assessed unit, including some top approaches to supporting students with their revision.
2.15 – 3.15 – Be In it To Win It! The Unit 3 & Unit 8 Showdown
Our speakers compete to provide their top drawer resources and ideas for the delivery of Unit 3, Promoting a Brand and Unit 8 Recruitment, Selection and Employment. Which resource will come top of the leader board? Only the delegates can decide
