AQA GCE Business (BUSS4) - Workshop Booklet is Go

A hectic week ahead making the final preparations for our forthcoming tour of UK cinemas delivering the BUSS4 revision workshop.  The workshop booklet is now at the printer - we’re printing 4,000 copies after the unprecedented demand for places.  I’m afraid there will be some disappointed customers at Manchester where we have now run out of places for schools and colleges who have not yet confirmed their requirements.

The booklet is used to guide students through five intensive revision sessions. Some printer screen grabs are shown below.  The BUSS4 workshop broadly splits into two sections - one concentrating on the Section A research task on the UK recession; the other focusing on core topics such as leadership, organisational culture and change management which are likely to be examined in Section B of the exam in June.

It will be really interesting to meet colleagues at each of our locations.  BUSS4 is a new exam and I’m sure centres have been adopting quite different approaches to researching the Section A material, and encouraging students to develop their essay writing technique.  BUSS4 is by some way the toughest of any GCE A2 Business units of any board.  Hopefully we can play our part in making the exam a little more manageable.
