Advertising vs reality in fast food.

I have always used this classic picture in my notes of the difference between the advertising of a burger and the reality when it is actually served up.

To be fair, its isn’t an actual example - just going to an extreme to show a point. But today I came across some other pictures which do purport to show the advertising vs reality at McDonalds and Burger King, as well as Taco Bell. As well, there is a very interesting three minute clip on youtube which shows how one of the amazing burgers in the pictures is actually prepared. It would be an interesting to discuss with your class what the difference in cost would be if each burger was prepared like that - apart from the fact that they are essentially raw!

The youtube video is found here.
