The Hot Seat is an new interactive computer game which helps pupils learn about key areas of business including business management, accounting and economics.

The aim of the game is to transform Duncastle United - an ailing professional football club - into a winning team and a successful business organisation.

This can only be done through changing the way that the Club is run and by making effective decisions in key areas of the business including:

Marketing - advertising, merchandising, promotion, PR, market research
Human Resources - recruitment and disposal of players, management and coaching staff
Operations - re-development of the stadium, corporate facilities, youth academy
Finance - managing funds and working capital

In The Hot Seat, learners adopt the role of the new Board of Directors at Duncastle United and take responsibility for all strategic and operational decision making. They experience the highs and lows of life at a top-flight football clus and learn that in business, like football, there is sometimes a fine line between winning and losing.
